PCI was contracted to come back into the newly finished C-17 Single Bay Hangar on EAFB to repaint the repairs that came from a large steel retrofit package.

PCI needed to protect the existing finished surfaces while still achieving a properly prepared and coated surface. |

As the biggest single structure PCI has painted from the ground up the C-17 Hangar was an excellent challenge and a worthwhile project. PCI took on the taping and painting for the project which required over 3000 gallons to complete.
The CMU inside the hangar bays required two component epoxies and all of the exposed ceilings needed to be painted with Dryfall.
Heights ranged from ground level to 85ft in the air and all areas needed to be painted. Attached to the double hanger is a three story office package which houses all of the support staff for the C-17 mission in Alaska.
Hundreds of doors and jambs, multi colors, and tough painting conditions lead to a great challenge for PCI. |
